Lena, so far it seems you are a lil imagination challenged, given your mulitiple "not getting it" posts...but try to consider the idea that prison is full of bad violent people...some of those violent people have violent friends and even family. Some of those people are armed with explosives and unlikely to be happy leaving their loved ones rotting, in a whole new way, behind those bars. And as sil notes...the majority of responders far away, or worse than dead.

Perhaps I am alittle imagination challenged, I really dont see prisoners blowing all these holes in huge solid concrete walls to escape or for that matter having the right ordinance available to them for such a thing.

Unless your saying outside forces were busting IN to the prison to liberate loved ones? I can understand that happening, i just dont see how such explosives could hanging around a prison.

The is more than one way to put a hole a wall than just explosives. And wouldn't prisoner be more resistant to the rot. They deal with despair and the prospect of possibly being of dieing everyday.

I dunno, it still seems weird having holes all in the wall. If people wanted to break in and nobody is really around, why not just blow the doors? They'd be easier to take out than the thick concrete walls. And even if you blow a hole in a wall, why would you continue and knock several more holes in the wall? I wouldn't think much of one big hole in the back of the wall or something, but holes all over the place... In a time where every round and explosive counts I just don't see people wasting them to blow extra holes in an already breached wall.

Logically it makes no sense to me. I'm OK with it though, artistic license and all that.

"Unless your saying outside forces were busting IN to the prison to liberate loved ones?"

....Unless? ummmm...what other thing would I have been saying with my post? That I like families? That love penetrates stone walls? Seriously...Unless?

.....

YES....I was saying the holes were made by outside forces breaking IN to rescue prisoners.

And Paul...yeah...the gates with zombie gaurds before they wandered off and bodies piled thick before they wandered off or rotted...and before that, the actual gaurds.

Oy vey...

That'll teach me to be oblique, I guess

This doesn't necessarily make you resistant to Rot. The majority of prisoners were highly susceptible, although there is one character in the game who started the Apocalypse in a jail cell.

I can see your point I would get very nervous if I heard rumor of the world end. Then the next day seeing smoke rise form rise Piety and screams echo across the land. It would be the feeling of helplessness being cornered. That destroys me.

That the townsfolk need all the men they can get. That what I thought.

The townsfolk are packing a lot of explosives...and are apparently willing to assault the prison with all those armed guards..

Wonder why the loving families didn't go liberating their loved ones way before the apocalypse?

Meh...No offense to anyone, but that's hard to swallow.

Because the American police and Armed Forces were a rather effective deterrent PRIOR to the Apocalypse.

Once all the hired guns of the Executive Branch were out of commision, all bets were off, and certain institutions incurred damages that were as much symbolic as practical. And if you find that "hard to swallow", you need to take a closer look at the fates of hated prisons like the Bastille once its last prisoners were liberated.

Of course, taking a closer look at the Bastille is a little hard these days.

Being as how they demolished it and all.

They did have the time, resources and luxury to demolish bastille. And incentive, since it was a symbol of opression.

With a hoard or zombies after you and the apocalypse looming overhead, such persuits seem more than sensless. Especially since if the situation is that bad, then there's probably quote a few zombies in the prison.

I find it more likely that the surviving guards would release the inmates and run out of the prison, when faced with zombies. Keeping someone locked up kinda pales in comparison to survival.
Or the guards may just run out and leave the inamtes in there. Saving one's own skin and all that jazz.

Just doesn't really sound credible to me, that's all.

Trash if you get any more freudian the man will leap from his grave. First your 2 hander obsession and now you are fixated on hard to swallow things...seriously...take some time out and think about yourself. You seem to be the last one on earth to figure you out.

Why is it that every time I comment on something and it isn't 100% pure praise or have an oppinion that doesn't match yours fully, you pounce on me like a horny gorilla during mating season?

Meh, my social skills my lack in your oppinion (and they probably do), but if you think yours are great, you are WRONG. You're a game-making genius and I love you, but you can also be quite a duche. And lately you've been one a lot.

*sigh*

Fine. I'll refrain from commenting anything on this forum in the future if it will maek you happy.

Actually, the person who is made MOST unhappy by your posts is me, Trash, largely because your response to the hard work, serious thought and creativity I have put into the background fiction of this project has been "Meh, I don't get it" and "Meh, I don't think so" and "Meh, that doesn't very likely to me" for bloody weeks now.

If you think that I am going to be sorry to see you stop posting this kind of argumentative "I don't agree with your story" garbage, you're very much mistaken. All stories require willing suspension of disbelief in order to work for the audience, and you are not only unwilling to suspend your own disbelief, but actively trying to destroy that willingness in others.

Please do go away, if you can't be any more helpful or productive. So far as I know, you haven't bought the game or played it for a single minute at this point. And really, even if you were a paying customer, I'd never change a single word of what I've written for the sake of a person who "doesn't get it" because he so blatantly doesn't WANT to get it.
