Patch 1.0.4 - Fort Zombie Is Not Installed

I downloaded the 1.0.4 patch, since Fort Zombie kept crashing and never saved the game, but now it won't patch! It keeps telling me that Fort Zombie is not installed.

Originally, I had it installed on a separate hard-drive, namely my G drive. I re-installed it on my C drive, but still nothing. Then I did it in the default directory. Nadda. I even put the patch IN the folder, but nothing happened.

Why is Fort Zombie not patching, and why can't I find the 1.0.3 patch anywhere? =.=

Interesting. The installed version I have is 1.0.2. I got the patch from Softpedia. So, how exactly do I update it then? =.=

thats what I am trying to tell you...you didn't get a patch Uninstall your 1.0.2 and then install the 1.0.4 download

The patch is 273 megs. The 1.0.2 game is 700 megs. It tries to update, but it won't update or install! @_@

seems waysmall...perhaps it needs to be uncompressed? You may need to hassle these softpedia people directly on how to install whatever package they have created.

Whomever you purchased Fort Zombie from in the first place is the place to go to for the updated version.


I am surprised to see that you downloaded the "patch" from SoftPedia, as they are not a Digital Distributor.

And given that FZ 1.0.4 is the entire game and not just an update, I sincerely doubt that they are allowed to just give it away like that...

It is perhaps possible that they diff'd the installs to supply only the modified files for their "patch", but then it is also possible that the file supplied is full of trojans and other malware...

Regardless of what the file they supply is, I can tell you that it is not supported now, nor will it ever be.

Again, I refer you to your original purchase. The folks who supplied that are the ones you want to get the "patch" from.

and here I was assuming that this was all about the vendor fish had gotten then game from in the first place. Ok, well this is all much different then. Some clever person seems to think they have put together a file differential patch on their own. Of course that is not going to work at all. Softpedia is being contacted even as we speak to have this matter addressed.

Direct 2 Drive is offering a 1.0.4 patch as well. Knowing that there haven't been any patches for the title, I downloaded it to check it out.

It spits out the same error as mentioned above. Might want to contact them too.

Fish' did state it spat out something about D2D.

And the file size is certainly similar at ~298MB.


And just when we had almost forgiven them for the initial GOB encryption issue...

I just downloaded a copy of 1.04 from direct2drive with a file size of 442.82 Kb. Does that sound about right or should it be larger? Mine currently isn't working either just for the record.
