As I understand it from reading other posts on the forum, that's not a mistake. The sword is named "Shovel".

Isn't it also a club skill?

Yes, it seems so.

Paul wrote:I posted this in another thread over on the discussion, but I thought it might need to be mentioned here too. The "Shovel" sword (appears to be a broadsword or greatsword or whatever) has the graphics and animation of a sword but the name and skill use of a shovel. Fighting with it uses your club skill and trains the club skill. Trying to use it with high blade skill proved quite disappointing.

I found the one that I have in a pawn shop.

Actually...that was a joke about the name being magic :P It has been fixed.

Although when I see a title named itemS I thought someone had found more.

I am certain there are other typos, that is why I added an "S". And for a fact the M4 says it uses 5_56 ammo.

A miss ID is a bit more of an issue than a mere typo, hence my greater concern.

Awwww... it's not an easter egg? :( I liked the idea that the swords name was "Shovel" and not just a ID error. A unique broadsword (esp. one that I could give to The Witch  ) lends a fun bit of reinforcement to the magical nature of the zombies.

if it wasn't causing the game to think it was a club, I would have left it for the laffs

Run with the gag! Re-add it as a unique broadsword called The Gravedigger or something. After all, it's clearly better than a mere mortal shovel.

after a weekend of dealing with the bitching of people running into the clearly endless void in a ten dollar game, you will have to excuse me if my opinion on the sense and sense of humor of the average gamers has been lowered somewhat. :P

This seems like as good a place as any to post this.

Here are a couple more little oddities.

Peach preserves have the inventory icon of cherry preserves.

You can get citrol, chocolate, and potato chips from the Sup machine in the non-mission fire station. Maybe the chocolate and potato chips were intended to be in the other machine beside it?

I'll post more here if I see them.

Not a misnamed item, but I notice that Christine Chambers lists John Chambers as her mother instead of her father (so she has 2 "mothers").

Also, the fact was not lost on me that the four chambers brothers are named Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. :) I love that.

Ah, here are a few more:

Pickled eggs and herring are misnamed Pickeled instead of Pickled.

Cherry Preserves are too big in the inventory. It's obvious that the icon was designed for 4x4 inventory space but its 4x5, which makes it look stretched.

Ooh, heres an interesting one. I rescued the same survivor twice in the same mission. It was the mission with the house and the barricaded locked garage. Anna Louise Phillips was both inside the garage and inside the house. It even let me bring both of them back to base without any problems.

I also noticed that she didn't make any comment about her grandfather whom I had rescued the day before. Is that only limited to parent/children or is it supposed to extend to grandparents/grandchildren?
