I'm pleased to inform you all that I am currently in the process of conducting audio interviews with some of the Dawgs from Kerberos, and making them available as podcasts. The Kerberos crew is on board, and the following people will be involved in the interviews:
Martin Cirulis (aka Mecron), CEO of Kerberos Productions (Discussion here)
Arinn Dembo (aka Erinys), Lead Writer (Now available, discuss here!)
Darren Grant (aka Kludgy), Lead Programmer
Chris Gerspacher (aka Degrassi), Lead Artist
Chris Stewart (aka Castewar), Producer, Designer, and Community Manager
A big part of the interviews will be giving the devs an opportunity to showcase some more specific information about the new features and content that we will be seeing in the upcoming expansion. The interviews will also cover many other topics related to SotS, Kerberos, and game development and design as well. This is where you, the wonderful fans of the game, come in. You are being given an opportunity to suggest questions to which you would like answers, and think would be good for the interviews. There are some guidelines however.
First and foremost, do not post your questions as responses to this thread. Instead, you should use this board's PM (private message) feature to send them to me. To do so, click here or the PM button below this post. Please include your question and the person (or people) from the list above to whom you'd like your question asked. I probably will not respond to you after you send the question unless I have a need to clarify something, so rest assured I will read all suggestions.
Please do not make suggestions that include general questions about the upcoming expansion such as "How does the tunnel drive work?" or "What kind of new techs will be introduced?" The expansion will be covered in great detail during the interviews so such suggestions would be superfluous. If you have a suggestion for a more obscure question about the expansion that you think would make a good addition but may not get asked, then you may send it along.
Questions that have simple or short answers should be avoided. "Will there be another expansion?" asks for a simple yes or no answer and doesn't make for a worthwhile suggestion for a question. Try to submit questions that will give the developers an opportunity to expound on a topic and contribute significantly to the interview.
Questions about SotS, Kerberos, game design and development, and even the devs themselves (in the context of game development) are welcome.
Obviously not every question submitted will get asked during the interviews. I'll pick what I think are the best questions and ask it in the interview. If I use your question, I will give you credit for suggesting it. Links to the podcast channels will be provided on the SotS website. The audio files will be downloadable directly for people who don't have a device that can subscribe to podcast channels.
So, I leave it to you all to start coming up with your questions. Interviews will begin around March 21st so you should get your suggestions in before then if you want them to have a chance of being asked. Remember, don't post them here, but PM them to me. Good luck!
