Question regarding the techtree

Post by S0ny B1ack » Fri Aug 27, 2010 9:55 am

This maybe a noob question and sorry if its answered anywhere else, but I checked the manual and the wiki.

I would just like to know if the randomised tech tree has some lower and upper "size limit". I mean is it possible that you get almost none random techs or that you get (nearly) all techs in one game (without salvaging of course).

Because in my last Tarkas game I have the feeling that I have more techs than I usual get.

AFAIK each tech link is rolled randomly; sometimes you get lucky, other times you get unlucky. There is no upper or lower bound save those determined by the number of core techs on the low end and the total size of the tree on the upper.
Zed's TARs (sample):
Fractious Allies -- Hiver vs. Hiver, with allies
Who Let The Bugs Out -- Hiver vs. Tarka and Zuul
Tarka Ascendant -- Tarka vs. Hiver and Zuul

Thanks for the answer. Though the Tarkas game is fun, I'm facing a rare problem(its probably rare, because I've yet to play some Morrigi games), I don't know which tech to research first  there are so many extremly useful ones :D
