How was I not answering your question? Eh... *sigh*

I can tell you that every production tech adds to your production capabilities.

How was I not answering your question? Eh... *sigh*

I'm sorry but your answer hinted at the info I was looking for but didn't say it specifically enough that I could be sure. You could have just as easily said can tell you that every Missle Warhead tech adds to your missle damage. and still not been wrong. Do you get what I am saying? Either way, thanks for playing along. Here have a copy of our home game Argue On The Internet by Milton Blameme.

Don't get snippy with me. And the vagueness was purposeful in that I wasn't 100% sure that I was correct. But if you think this is an arguement then I guess that means you've won...go you! Go far, far away.

For all of you who are wondering, the techs most definately do stack. I researched (in this order): Expert Systems, Waldo Units, Cybernetic Interfaces and got the following bonuses on my homeworld: At start, 7000 Output, after Expert Systems: 8050 Output, after Waldo Units AND Expert Systems: 9100 (I think), and after finishing up all three: 10,500. Hope this conclusively answers the question.

Thanks cathexis.

Looks like Expert Systems and Waldo Units increase base production by 15%
and Cybernetic Interfaces increase base production by 20%

So a total of 50% with all three.

I don't know what peoples aversions to the actual equations are. Age of Empires III, I think handeled it well by having an option where you could select to see basic information or advanced.

Basic was "improves wood gathering"
Advances was "increase wood gathering by 20%"

The problem in my opinion was that the default was simple... and many beginners made bad decisions based on the lack of real information. Someone playing a wood gathering card would be in almost all situations at a big disadvantage vs someone that played a 3 villager card (ie you would need 15 villagers on wood before the card would be better). However is the actual increase was more like 40-50% then it would have been a good choice. I know my one friend picked all these economic cards and was incredibly dissapointed when I pointed out the actual percentages to him.

I like not knowing exactly unless you really really want to know. And if you really really want to know, there are data files to look at.

Lets say their was another tech that increased production by 40% all by itself.

Are you really saying you would prefer to see only

"Increases industrial output" repeated for the description on all 4?

For the little arrow thing, sure. More description is what the descriptive text box is fore.

I think in that scenario, the best thing would be to say: "majorly increases industrial output" for the 40% tech.

clarify - why doesnt Cybernetic Interfaces function like a CnC unit ? The description sells CnC to me...

and if you never ever overharvest is the resource amount on a planet irrelevant ?

Higher resoruces means a significantly greater amount of revenue generated, and I believe also adds a boost to production points with suffecient infrastructre. I haven't touched the demo in a day or two, so I may be wrong on that.
The teacher cut in smoothly, "Yes, of course. SolForce never fails to remind us how necessary they are to our...'survival'. ... It amazes me that the human race ever managed to exist, before you lot came along."

Cai Rui smiled thinly. "What amazes me is how quickly the human race could cease to exist, if we were gone."
