While you can look up most of this in the wiki, there is not a single list there that would cover it. So.... :)

Guided isn't really the right word. Some torpedoes are direct fire (very fast, no tracking, no damage gain or loss, can't be shot down) while the others are tracking (slow, will track a target, gains damage over time/distance, loses damage when shot, can be shot down).

Direct Fire Torps:
* Photonic Torpedo
* Disruptors
* Electro-Magnetic Pulsar

Tracking Torps:
* Plasma Torpedo
* Fusion Torpedo
* Detonating Fusion Torpedo
* Antimatter Torpedo
* Detonating Antimatter Torpedo
* Pulsar Torpedo - works somewhat differently than the rest

What exactly is a Pulsar Torpedo, in the tracking list there?

I've never seen PD engage the pulsar torp, it doesn't do much damage, so I'm guessing that its damage is fixed and being uninterceptable makes its durability irrelevant. It does shut down ships and weapon banks like an EM Pulsar.

Torps

In defense of photonic torpedoes, when they hit they hit hard, try a half dozen of these DDTs as I call them as rearguards for your fleet formation. Good for humbling those pesky capital ships with their "unique" capabilties.(ie jammers, torps o' death vessels and the like). I find the DDTs very good for reducing a planetary colony.

Are all torpedo 'types' (direct fire/tracking) supported in the new cruiser class platforms found in BoB?

Its in the industry Tree, If youve got DNs and still havent seen the tech for torp sats, you arent going to see it without salviging it.

Thanks! I've yet to get DNs in a BoB game. Damned locusts making me play so slow, and spending soo much time here posting, reading and figuring out how to play Vs. them. Then getting distracted and posting shenanigans in other threads...

Oooh, whats that... /wanders off

How effective are Disruptor torps? I'v used them an not sure if they really shut down the ship or not. Is it a chance of shutting down systems? Does it shut down some weapons on the ship but not all or has a chance 2 shut down the ships engines 4 example?

They shut the ship down for a limited time - except PD. They can be VERY effective, especially tracking variant.
ErinysSolForce Intelligence has great difficulty penetrating Liir society to that depth, for obvious reasons. fibioLack of scuba gear?
