Ok first I need a mouse invert y axis toggle in under gameplay in options (MY BRAIN)...

I would appreciate that as well.

Ability to see/alter the keybinds from the options menu would be useful.

Also if I am browsing the SotSDex, would it be possible to pause the game, so I don't constantly lose food whilst I am trying to figure out what's what?

And yep the game should pause in sotsdex.

Any reason why when I die I can reload the save and just go again? I thought rogue-likes were perma-death.

On the minimap, it would be nice to have a clear indication of whether a corridor is a dead end or an unexplored corridor to prevent extra back tracking. Sometimes it does that half width block so you know, but otherwise you just have to keep track. Maybe my memory should just git gud though.

The original pit had the same issue but I confess i find myself preferring a color code for hallway caps as well;)

Well I have a couple of hours in and then had a crash, but when I reloaded the game I was back at my last save, 3 levels earlier so my suggestion is for auto saves when you leave a level in the elevator as it already is doing the load for the next level at this point any way an auto save here seems like a logical save point.

Personally I would kind of like an indication of when an attack has missed rather than me somehow swinging at nothing for melee? It feels very hard to tell if I am swinging at something in range and I am missing an attack roll, or if I am just swinging at nothing and don't know it.

The gun ranges seem very short to me as well. I don't know best how to reconcile Skill with in-game effects (various random ideas have come to mind that may be more frustrating to deal with than just aim drift) but the range seems to dramatically make drift a problem at even really close range I've been finding.

The quick bar UI elements and the Journal button don't move with the other UI elements when sprinting/etc I noticed.

gun ranges are slightly unrealistically short in a game dealing with hallways, but they will be being tuned over most of the length of EA, especially as more monsters and weapons enter the game. And yeah, Melee is still problematical to me. At one point we did broadcast MISS but in large clusterF's people started asking MISSES WHAT? So refining continues there as well but feel free to keep shouting out ideas!
