Major: You wouldn't gain immunity to light lasers because if the enemy brings more light lasers the thermal energy added would linearly increase with the number of lasers.
A good signature is a concise and original summary of personality. This is not a good signature.

This is called a point absorber. It absorbs energy weapons fire and recharges onboard energy weapons with it.

All that needs to be done is to add code that allows for a damage limit within a certain amount of time. For instance, if 400 damage is done in less than three seconds, then any damage done over 400 is done to the damage rating. That way, you gain immunity to a rate of damage, and not a particular class or amount of lasers.

That's different and wouldn't take care of nearly enough energy. What I described has to either store the thermal energy and release it later some how, or radiate it immediately.
