This made me think we should do another succession game. Those were fun!
The teacher cut in smoothly, "Yes, of course. SolForce never fails to remind us how necessary they are to our...'survival'. ... It amazes me that the human race ever managed to exist, before you lot came along."

Cai Rui smiled thinly. "What amazes me is how quickly the human race could cease to exist, if we were gone."

For SV's benefit:

http://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/Ta ... t8016.html

"No plan survives contact with the enemy! Especially not mine!" -- SV ;)

Several good moments of fighting through adversity. The first one which results in several panic attacks was pretty funny, and reminiscent for me of my current humans game -- although in my case, it was first contact with 2 hostile rival AIs who had cruiser fleets led by Strikeforce CnC when I had researched all of three techs and was running around with emitter DDs. The later ones were even better.

Three cheers for perseverence, though!

BTW, StrategyCore Tarka TAR (AAR) is wrapped up. I think I'll give AARs a rest a bit, they DO consume a lot of time.

And thanks Zed for keeping the list so tidy.

I am running a succession game with a number of people from the Realms Beyond forums. It's started up just this weekend, so there's a lot yet to come.

RBSotS1 Succession Game 1

I've put quite a lot of explanation of how I go about expanding at the start of the game in, since there are a number of new players in the succession game; it could be a useful read for other new players.

Fractious Allies -- Hiver vs. Hiver, with allies

Nice start to that succession game, ZedF!

Your initial posts have a good deal of instruction useful to new players, no matter what race they are playing...

Well done Sir!

I still want to finish that Liir game off someday. Could I rustle up a couple folks to play it with me? I mean, bear in mind it's not decided by any means. By this point it's actually a fairly balanced set of gargantuan empires smacking each other with all the cool toys in the armoury.
