Not the Greatfather--the Seeker Prime! I diverged from SoTS canon the moment that I set the universe in Venkman's donut. The Seeker is sort of a cross between the greatfather and the queen's consort--only the Seeker holds the lock to the Queen's prison. I had a lot of thoughts to explore there, but they are sadly beyond the scope of this story. Perhaps a Donut of Doom 2--Fang's revenge?

No, no, no! I can't afford to get sucked into another of these!

I had meant to add a lot more of Dr. Venkman. I always liked eccentric scientists. I had to settle for Dr. Ludvig near the end. Hans and Frans popped out of nowhere when I needed a couple of heavies to do the ripping for the seeker. Kind of a cross between the Saturday night live duo and the three little pigs from Shrek.

I guess this post is equivalent to the credits rolling by, so here's some epilogues you get to see at the end of the movie...

Monty and Violet finally got together and had a kid. It turns out that Violet was pregnant the whole time--remember how sick she was on Dorsai? They have a nice little bungalo on an island on Dorsai.

Flipper went on to become the bridge between the Black Swimmers and the Innocent. He and Sprinkles each had a kid by the other. Flipper visits on weekends.

Fang became the Seeker and initiated a ceasfire with the Liir. A much greater threat arose in the clockwise direction--a team of two Liir-sucking Zuul factions bent on conquering the donut.

Admiral Guffy got his final "Glorious Charge" at the battle of Shandor. They erected a statue of him at each of the Earth colonies.

Lt. Jacob Boles rose through the ranks and became an important leader in the Terran defense against the Zuul incursions.

Princes Sunlit Buttercup was granted her freedom by Fang and became a willing ally. Her isolation from the main hiver Queen allowed her to become Queen in her own right. A compromise was struck between the Zuul and the Hivers, with the Hivers giving fealty to the Zuul in the form of slaves/workers. Nobody really liked it, but it worked out ok.

That was by far the best TAR I have read, even though it was more of a story with the TAR thrown in.

Harper, you've set a new standard for these things. Be happy, you've made SotS history! :D

Write another, I want to see more of your work.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. You've convinced me to write another one. No Donut of Doom 2, though. The late game just crawls on my old computer. The Battle of Shandor took 2 hours to play through fully.

Instead, I'd like to tackle one of the canned scenarios. See my poll for more. That's right, 25% of you are going to have to suffer through another poll... :bangdesk:

Kiith-sa,

In this case, observation affects the phenomena being observed... I've never claimed I had original ideas... :D

Halle Berry and Pie didn't spring from this imagination. My plot threads are often a direct result of the discussions we have on this forum. As someone put it "choose your own adventure". I've done a lot of role-playing in the past, so this format is natural to me. Give the players what they want.

Frank was sent back to Solforce for rehabilitation. Eventually, he got a job as a comms officer working under Admiral Banks at Diplomatic Station Enigma.

I finally got my new gaming rig up and running. What a difference! I just played the "Battle of Soror" battle again and it was awesome! This battle used to take over an hour to complete for a 10 minute round. This time, I was able to complete it realtime. AND I defeated both the Zuul homeworld and the Hiver gate. Things could have turned out quite a bit differently for Fang and his crew of Hiver-Zuul if I had had this computer...

My son Rocketboy followed me to work this weekend and assembled the Donut of Doom into a book. Here's a picture of him with the final product:
