Here are all 3d models we'll need for the rockbugs. I'll tick them off as they get finished (Upload the finished version to the FTP (PM me for instructions) and I'll note it here). I'll also try to post pics of the sections that are finished.

LOD - Level Of Detail.

As I understand it game shows different models depending on the distance to the camera.

Yep, all the stock models have 4 LoDs (base model (LoD0 technically) and LoDs 1-3). You can have less (though it would be ill-advised to do so), but I don't know if you can have more.

so just out of curiousity is Level of detail covered in the textures. If it so I can hand over the models.

Unless someone wanting to teach me how to texture.

Also turrets are separate models?

Turrets are separate models, and I've no idea if the different LODs require different textures. I don't think they would, as long as the UV coordinates are set properly. They certainly need separate models though.

id want to say that im still with this.
i was not productive within the last time.
this because of i have quite a lot projects running, im still doing blender tutorials more than actually moddeling, plus i want to get my mother into sots, what requires a full-translation into german.
this project is having... some sort of overrun, consuming much more time i projected.
anyway, im still on it. just dont expect me to be productive too soon.
