3 rd Belgian here to join in. This game caught my intrest only 2 weeks ago after the IGN preview and now I'm checking the forums 5 times a day hoping for the demo announcement. Pretty exited here :-)

Yeah, the IGN preview was great. And we're all fanatics here too, so don't feel bad about checking the forums five times a day. I check them about thirty times.

i dont even want to know how many times ive come to this site the past few days. just reading finding out new stuff ect. theres no question ill be buying this game.

the funny thing is i hate to read but i actually enjoy reading about stuff in this game.

So for all of you people looking forward to the game, this happened to me last night. After a week and a half I finally got my copy of the beta at around four yesterday afternoon, which I proceeded to play, without dinner (I forgot), and going to sleep (also forgot) until six in the morning. I was planning on going to sleep around two, but not an hour after checking the clock and seeing that it was one AM I noticed that the sun had come up. After passing out and getting woken up at noon by the phone, I ended up playing another six hours of SotS and missing lunch (forgot again) before leaving to go eat dinner with one of my buddies.

So, for the record, damn you Kerberos Productions! Damn you for making a game that positively devours time, meals, and sleep schedules. For all of you who've been waiting for an actually *good* 4x space game since MOO2, I think this one has it covered. Now I'm going to go and try to avoid the call of the "Next Turn" button and try to get to sleep at an reasonable hour :)
