Also, it would seem that guns are effective on these zombies.

Unfortunately, guns are also effective against humans, and apparently these zombies have figured that out.

NICE!

Is a single chow instantly zombific?
ErinysSolForce Intelligence has great difficulty penetrating Liir society to that depth, for obvious reasons. fibioLack of scuba gear?

Mentioned elsewhere:

One little scratch isn't gonna turn you.
It's dependent on how bad the damage is.
But it IS possible.

This is the Fort Zombie forum.

One of the first posts on this forum is "New Demo Released!"

I was VERY happy... for a few moments...

Yeah. Board wide announcements can be evil.
I realize that pulsars are not part of the Canadian military arsenal, but I find that if you shampoo an angry beaver aggressively with "oily hair" shampoo to dry out it's fur and rub it vigorously against a balloon before flinging it at the enemy with a trebuchet, you get a similar effect.

heh. I was playing this before work, all ready to make my "zombie kill of the day" thread and BLAMO.

hard crash. beeps and black. awesome. Something decided THAT was the opportune moment to shit out. I'm guessing either the processor (which has been working hard lately) or the video card, which had some overheating problems a while back.

either way, i'm pissed.

Don't think its power or MB - my fans are still spinning.

After trying to play the game for an hour, but it doesn't feel too polished. I've searched the forum but haven't scrounged up much..
-Will the camera be "fixed"? This is the biggest letdown I've had with the game.
-Are sound effects missing? Sure seems like it, than again it could be down to artistic direction.

Aside from that and the weird orange-windows, the game looks fantastic, and gameplay could really be fun if fps/camera issues were resolved.

really? you searched the forums? You didn't find anything in tech support about helping your FPS issues?

Spinning the camera seems to be a temporary fix. After moving around for a little bit the game goes back to chugging at the 20s with a 260. That's with most settings on low, too.

The Pause function and top down view can be your friends ;) Although not solving the problem of having a below spec machine, can make the game playable with a little patience.

Top down plays pretty smoothly, just pause to have a look around to see where the Zombies are and keep track.

I have to admit the game has intrigued me and I have been a fan of SOTS for a decent while now. So I decided to give it a go.

I'm not sure what to expect from this game, reviews have been mixed, but I think I'll have some fun with it.

See you in Piety.
I await the return of the EGON...
