I prefer to shoot the zombies FROM the rooftop...

while THEY are still on the ground.

actually the rooftop views are just to give an idea of various properties...in reality its often impossible or notoriously difficult to get up on a roof from inside a building.

Ladders... immensely useful things.

Until the zombies knock them down. Or worse, if they maintain enough memory to try climbing them. But even if they pull them down, it just means you're surrounded... probably without a means to take them all out... until they starve you out. Or just starve you, period.

And then the football jock zombies start chucking the cheerleader zombies your way... ;)

I was just going by all the 'pedestrian accesible' steps on the roof of the Police Station pic...

I know it isn't necessarily the one that made it into the game...

But until we have more solid facts to go on,

(actually, don't most commercial buildings with 3 or more floors have SOME kind of roof acces? per International Building Code?)

Over here I think pretty much every building has ladders to the roof built to the outside wall somewhere. Not sure if it is/was required by some code or something.

Of course if the zombies surround you while you're inside the building you're still screwed.

*shudder* good atmosphere in that shot. Gonna be kind of a creepy thing to see when we get "home" in the game. If, of course, we're stupid enough to stay out that late.

Or maybe we WANT to see home base be dark. Zombies might turn on lights and / or ignore places that are dark, or put those places on lower priority for searching.
