I think she means getting there.
You'd have to fight trough a horde of zombies to get there...and then you'll face Dark Lord Mercon, and he will devour your soul. :P

Do not underestimate the GreatFather! He is terrible!

But there is a way to get past him. Remeber that zobmies retain some of their quirks/routines.

Maybe if we post something stupid on a certain forum we could sneak by the dark lord Mecron while hes typing an angry answer.

Do we get a computer with working internet connection in the fort?

 the idea of the internet still being up and working that far into a zombie apocalypse is pretty funny.

Actually this is kind of a fun thought... (not being terribly serious here)
Power would be one of the first things to fail. (high maintenance)
Global connections for the Internet (assuming power stayed on) would be one of the next as most of the equipment that handles such things are in cities and those things are gone early.
Google would be next to go, then the national/local routes. There is an INSANE amount of redundancy for the Internet on a national level and a lot of hands off software to keep things working even if large chunks of the routers go down (ie cities).

It did start off as a way to communicate despite a (nuclear) apocalypse. :)

I think satelite phones might continue to work.
Buy my book - Six Seconds of Moonlight on the kindle store.

Anyone can be a god beneath the moonlight, but who can be a hero?

Isn't there still a milnet though, or did they give that up after the academics "stole" their internet?

From what I understand most people just overlay their network onto the Internet. A bit like VPN in concept.

Close, but not quite. You need something to keep him busy longer.

Throw an inovative game concept at him. His impulse - to ponder on it and polish it, optimize it, improve on it - will take over and he will spend days, weeks out of your way. Just be sure to throw him a fresh marker and a writing board too.

The internet would still work if there's power... with most of the population zombified there'd be less traffic on most of the internet and a lot more on /b/.
