Lol...that was a low blow to Lou Ferrigno. And the Hulk was like in the 70s - 80s. I still have fond memories of that show.

Don't...it was truly awful. Also if you remember it as awful it will make you less snotty about modern TV cgi

As a kid I remember watching the Incredible Hulk pilot episode and thought to myself "Cool! We're going to get that every week?!! Instead we got Kwai Chang Caine from Kung Fu instead. :(

As a kid I remember a big green man and lots of growling!

It really has nothing to do with modern CGI techniques literally 41+ years later. Since there were no such things then. But the show introduced Thor and Daredevil to the masses of tv.

and it kinda ruined it for a lot of them. Sorry sparky, but part of what comic movies have been fighting uphill against for the past 30 years was their completely cheap ass and embarrassing versions from the 70's and early 80's. And it didn't really have to be that way as, while the 6 million dollar man/bionic woman episodes had a healthy amount of cheese in terms of fx, they didn't treat their audience like idiots and hence they stand up pretty well today. Wonder Woman didn't have to be stupid for everyone above 8, it just was which would have been groovy if is had been on saturday mornings like shazam or Isis.

The Thor episodes were pretty bad but Daredevil was kinda spot on if I remember it correctly. Right down to his senses and everything. But I'm not arguing about their collective value in accurately educating the masses toward comic book heroes...just the bad CGI that beastboy uses. It may get better or it may not but it looks pretty bad right now.

I am too old to be catty about the miracle of modern superhero tv just cause the cgi is understandably cheap. :P

Ok. I've seen the two first episodes of Titans now and it just strikes a really weird place.

The plotline (so far) is interesting, the action scenes are pretty cool, the costumes are gorgeous (Hawk and Dove might just have the best costumes in the history of Hawk and Dove)...

...but somehow I just think that it would have been better if it had been expys instead. I think that I'm not just ready for these particular characters to be exposed to the level of violence that is the standard for this show.

interesting...will probably be awhile before I see it. They are not the Teen Titans though so I guess its ok its dark but meh, this first season is supposed to be the formative year for the team so I am prepared to watch them and the show gel. I also think they got edged towards dark cause the CW shows are sitting pretty hard on the light hearted thing.

Titans on Netflix...worth watching if you are a grown up and realize a life of violence has implications.
