Assortment of pictures from various games that will remain forever unfinished because I can't settle on one race/map to play to conclusion it seems. The last half or so are from my ongoing Morrigi game.

These last few are from a colony trap that I sprung on the Liir which failed miserably. Not sure if it's a bug or it's just that the Liir are immune to being pulled into planets or some such though. Oh well, still looks cool. :P

Reasons to not rush for Suul'ka:

But mass drivers are fun!

For the enemy, anyways.

I already had AP drivers, though... The game doesn't consider AP drivers an upgrade to normal mass drivers? :?

Not sure for Suulka anyway - I know HEAP will take priority over either.

Still as far as the weapons go - I only really use them to kill stations with my Suul'ka. The Tentacle claws, tentacle beams, and psionics do pretty much all of the damage over the course of a fight against enemy ships. Only thing I *need* the guns for is killing off stations if I have no escorts left.

Well I should clarify, I believe it only applies medium mount weapons since that's what the modules come equipped with. HCLs are special mount weapons and require a specific section in order to equip them (Blazer, Barrage, etc.) which the Suul'ka have none of currently.

Either way their tentacle beams are probably about 10 times as powerful as a single HCL anyway.

What do these tentacle beams look like? He Who Shapes doesn't seem to have any, but I can't tell from the .section.

Well, it has been far too long since I've posted in the Picture of the Day thread in SOTS Prime, so here are my first shots from SOTS II!

The arrival of my Vanguard Armada, led by my Leviathan, the Requiem:

Not my best pics ever, but more coming soon!

After staying out of trouble untill i got some new weapons and dreads i decided to start a war in my latest Tarka game:

My fleet is approaching an enemy Liir fleet in deep space:
Image

My first dread of this game in action:

Though the cruisers shouldn't be underestimated either:
Image

My standoff ships in action:
Image
(i know the liir have great PD coverage, but i will make sure that they keep PD in their small slots - if they field x-ray lasers in there, they can become a nasty surprise (and the standoff ship was designed for a war with the Zuul, not the Liir, but things changed on the map. The design is a try at overwhelming PD, which should work against races otehr than liir))

The Liir fought bravely, but had no chance:
Image

On a side note - the Liir did actually more damage than i thought they would - they had the torpedo brigde on every ship and my PD got a lot of them, but the overwhelming numbers of torpedoes made sure some got through

I have a quick question. Is it possible to disable the tactical overlay in combat for taking screenshots, like you could in Prime? I looked through all the hotkeys and couldn't find one listing it.

Control-H I believe will do the trick.
