The IO bonus goes to the planets.

It's pretty easy to see when you colonize a planet in a system with a bunch of mining stations - starting with 4000 iO and such things ;)

Does unused IO turn into income, like it did in SOTS Prime?

No. You can test this yourself. You can max construction in a system and then check the projected income, it remains the same. And when you end the turn you can then subtract the cost of the construction of the ships that are finished from your savings + the projected income of the previous turn. It is going to show your current savings.
Every time you use 'fluff' for lore a Kerberos developer dies. And they are already an endangered species.

Dealing with the mining stations, at current, they give 500 IO to every planet in the same system they are in. Is this working as intended or are they supposed to only add 500 IO to the system pool? Just want some clarification.

Not sure if this is the best place to post this but:

According to the wiki, Loa are supposed to have 100% chance of rolling on Advanced Nanites as well as the technologies it links to. However, Loa doesn't have access to any of the technologies that link to Advanced nanites (Quantum Dissociation).

If only the Loa could somehow get the tech prereqs by maybe reverse engineering it from other races then, yah ?

Ya me and Resok brought this up but we both thought at the end it was for balance. But if these suckers are coming I'm assuming they will be linked from Material Applications- Quantum Disassociation- (rest nanities tech) OR QD stays in industry and the other nanites will be linked into Loa's tiny biotech tree.

You could create a Loa specific link from AI techs to nanite techs if you don't want to give them the pre-reqs.

I was looking at the industrial tech tree and I noticed that y'all didn't put in a space elevator I was wondering why considering it would increase both trade income and boost industrial output by making it easier to move cargo in and out of the atmosphere and at a much cheaper. A good example of this is say a shuttle moves cargo in to space for 100,000$ a pound while the elevator would moved the same cargo for 1500$ a pound instead.

And if you will build it already in space, than you would have no needs for such thing. + With "Gravity control" It becomes obsolete, but before that it's just a giant target that asks to get shot and fall on surface. You really want to have 130 000 km. long cable that can fall on Earth any second because your sensors couldn't detect stealthed ships, or because it was hit by Node missle or because some friendly fire accidently hit counterweight...?

Ok first off I'm I'm not saying use the damn counter wait version and seeing how little research you did to try an shot my point down screw off. Second the natural evolution of the space elevator is a space station on one end the counter wait method is a lower end tech path and only really used to start the construction of the shafts used in the elevator in the first place! Third, SAFETY RULE NUMBER ONE YOU DON'T BUILD GIANT GIGATON OBJECTS NEAR POPULATION CENTERS YOU MORON, GOD! Even in all my research of space elevators they say its not meant to be built near a population center (like a city).
