Pre-combat CTD

Hi there
I'm using Save our SOTS2 mod, and i have had no crashes except a rare pre-conbat CTD.
I have usually been able to get around it using autosaves, but I am stuck now and can't avoid it. The crash happens after i click to enter either auto or manual battle.
I hope someone here can help/ recognises the problem as i dont know how to read the logs for this game:

Paradox has full control of SotS2 and as such all problems should be referred to them.

I'm aware of the history and ownership of SWOTS. But seeing as Pdx only published the game, they are unlikely to know the code within the crash logs.
This post was for someone here who might recognise it.
The crashes are very variable, sometimes I can get around it, sometimes not. Sometimes it seems a specific battle in a specific system will crash it, e.g. i have 3 battles to fight, a,b,c. A and B will go fine, but it will crash as i load C.

Paradox would have to be paying someone to look at bug fixes for any investigation of potential issues to be occurring. Nobody can answer this sort of question off the top of their heads.
