I live in Japan and the game tries to load the 'locale\ja\strings.csv' file but can't find it, so CTD.

If you copy the contents of '\locale\en' into your localization folder, in my case 'ja', the game will work.
N* makes me miss my Commadore 64 and my copies of Starflight I + II :(

I found that directory called /steam/steamapps/common/sword of the stars ii/assets/base/locale/EN and /steam/steamapps/common/sword of the stars ii/assets/base/locale/RU I'm from Denmark and could see it was looking for a DA directory so just made one and copied files from the EN directory to the DA and seems to work for me. Was able to start game.

Hope it helps

Being from Quebec(a french speaking province of canada) I finally managed to "fix" it myself by creating a false "fr" localization folder, and pasting the english folder's content there.

Now I can look at what those designs attributes look likes on my ships :)

The issue from yesterday's patch is a related issue, with a similar workaround, but it shouldn't occur with the hotfix about to go live.
