Crash After First Turn in Multiplayer

Post by CrystalDragonSora » Sat Feb 21, 2015 12:13 am

So, on behalf of a friend who for some reason refuses to help himself and post this himself, from what I know, every time he tries multiplayer, the game just crashes after he hits end turn. As far as he can tell, the next turn doesn't even load.

I think the crash log should be here, maybe:,6d24kd2mnmybuwf

And his system specs/summary/idk:

And he says his graphics is: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000

I have no freaking clue if any of this is helpful (been feeling sick all day but he asked, so...).

Not exactly sure what he's done to fix it besides uninstalling/reinstalling. If I can get any other info from him, I'll post it (or pray he comes here himself).

Ummm... doesn't SotS 2 require an intel i4 or better? He's using an i3...

There's no such thing as a i4.
Processor:Core2 Duo or equivalent

i3/i5/i7 are the successors to the Core2 line, with i3 seemingly the successor of Core2 Duo.
i3 are already quite powerful, however SotS2 combat is very CPU-taxing.

but that's not why he has problems...

Graphics:512-MB DirectX 10, Integrated graphics
(laptops) are not supported

And he has Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
I wouldn't expect any 3D games released in about the same year as a Intel HD card to run well, or even at all (which might be happening here) depending on their shader and DirectX requirements (2011 for the HD 3000, which, by coincidence is SotS2' release year). This has seemingly changed with Haswell and especially Broadwell, that's probably why the re-branding to "Iris".
