Poor citations on Morrigi article

Post by Ace » Sat Oct 04, 2008 1:50 am

Nugy Sen 2415 being the only citation? This must be a joke considering the extensive xenolinguistic work as well as xenoosteology available on the Morrigi. (Mara Hu of the University of Southern Avalon for one...) Some of the basic supporting lines of evidence about the 'vestigal wings' such as the bone density of the carpometacarpis were completely omitted!

If this is supposed to be some sort of Sol Force brief, please don't insult the academics here with some pathetic attempts of hiding the plaigarism. Some of that appendix appears to be a direct rip word for word from the omniwiki entry on the Morrigi.

This is... a travesty. Whoever ghostwrote this for Sol Force should be blacklisted from academia!

bad news, it was written by a committie from "Concerned Citizens for Xeno Relations."

This is why I loath non Imperial citizens some times...

Decaffinated?? Are you aware that the chemical process to remove caffiene from coffee/tea leaves residues that are WORSE then the caffiene itself? Besides, the amount of caffiene in tea isn't that much to begin with... seriously... WTF?

I respond very strongly to caffeine, and I try not to drink anything with caffeine after six pm if I want to sleep.

Sprite, seven up, ginger ale, all the fruit flavored sodas, most root beers (Not Barq's, although the caffeine content is low in that), most varieties of Jones soda, and so on.

Oh, and decaffeinated tea.

Personally I love the Arizona Rx Stress tea.

Yeah, I'm one of those people who's completely given up caffeine as well. Which is funny because I used to go through a good four liters of Mountain Dew a day (If not more). At some point the cardiac flutter I was getting convinced me to quit.

Now if I have so much as a coke I'll be up until 4AM.

So I mostly have a fridge full of ginger ale. Canada Dry, though I'd get Seagram's if they distributed it in California :/

I don't drink caffeine.. Carbonated drinks infrequently. Usually just water for me, personally. I seem to get along alright.

to each their own. The unique biochemistry of a person makes it so that the effects of stimulants and other substences can not be relied upon with absolute certenty. I for instance tend to have inverted effects from seditives. this was a bit of an issue when I was a child, since surgery on a 5 year old whos bouncing off the walls is rather... diffacult.
