Hi guys,
I'm testing the ita translation on my current playthrough (as Liir) and it seems that some strings -which are present in the csv file- are still hardcoded.
The following strings are in the file and translated, but in game they're still in english:
Open/Closed System
Admiral Birth Planet
Station Type in the station upgrade window
While the check idle fleet popup doesn't have any string in the file.
I know that's trivial, but can some other translator give me a confirmation/feedback on this?
Is my file messed up? (don't think so, french and german file have the same issue).
Thanks;)
Testing the Translation file, need some feedback.

The main things to remember is that bad Russian/German is better than nothing at all, so while we respect that there are various and subtle options for certain words and concepts, please keep the debate here (not in the public docs), allow Kerberos and super-user mods to make final rulings, and regardless if your suggestions are used, your input was invaluable and you helped make it happen.

Re: Testing the Translation file, need some feedback.
Mmm, so no one has this issue?
Is it just me?
Proceeding with the testing I found more strings which remain in english:
Admiral selection window while creating fleet.
Combat Stances.
Some events like spectres or meteors destroyed.
The new after battle report (this is really hardcoded i believe, as there's no strings).

Sorry for answering late.
Ditto on open/closed, station names in station manager, and idle fleets popup dialog.
Planet names are supposed to be the same in all localizations so that players using them can play in MP together.
Also I can confirm on admiral manager "Sort By" string, ship stances and facings, and new post-combat report screen.
Probably we should maintain a list of things that cannot be localized yet.
I can add to it:
- "Accept/Decline" when a player demands system info.
- various units in ship build/design screens (km/s, ly, etc.)

Aren't those design screen units international standards anyway? (Well, except for the lightyear)

They are, but russian char set is different.

Ok thanks for the feedback;).
I guess that some of the strings, even if present and localized in the file, are still hardcoded.
I can add the "researching xyz" tooltip. The tech remains in english.
