I find the Devourers very useful late game. Just get a few Devourers, some support DNs, a Flagship, and a Radiant Bore. then just spam destroyers.

Their also useful for freeing up IO on your worlds for DNs and CRs.

The ship itself looks kind of like a hemisphere with 8 claws coming out the bottom and a maw. It's armed with with 20 small mounts, but with it's DN armor, it doesn't need anything else if you have AP Gauss, X-ray lasers, or Pulse Phasers. I just wish it had a few Medium mounts.

I'm playing a Zuul game and have been looking forward to getting the Terrorizer propaganda ship. I've researched Cruiser, Fusion and Rend Drive but it still doesn't show up on my design screen. Is there some other tech i'm missing?

I think you need enough xenotech with at least one alien race. Not sure what the necessary level of xenotech is though.
