Come to think of it.. why does a ship have a window on it? Wouldn't that be.. like a danger to the crew? One blast to the window and there goes all your crew out the now broken window with all your oxygen.

But.. on topic. Would think it is cramped yet still moveable. Captain probably has the ablity to see the battlefield easily, and crew can move around if need be. Not.. nessarily easily but not, "I am gonna get up now so, don't move or I might smash my elbow against your head" Cramped. Can't afford people blacking out during a scan can we?

1) Combat crew often suited up
2) Many SMALL windows are purely for psych health purposes...if you could get away wiht them in a sub they would.
3) Windows in combat sections are part dramatic effect and part sometimes everything fancy breaks and being able to look at the damn window with the Mk 1 Eyeball can save your ship.

Eh... I was looking closely at one of my ships. Humans have windows.. I don't see any on Morrigi ships. But. Given how their ships are.. am I wrong in assuming they close those up when combat starts as they open up the weapon hatches when battle starts?

And sorry this is all off topic.

IIRC they're telepathic, so they don't need windows; they might be able to sense a ship this way or that.

telepathy is analogous to hearing NOT sight...you are thinking of clairavoyance or farsense. And yes morrigi ship seal up tight during combat...their faith in their electronics is legendary.

So they can't use the telepathic version of echo-location?

I don't think it works that way....

what about external cameras, A nice big window is nice but if I want to see the guy wedged in my node ring.....
also I'm thinking that its almost a moot point for the flight crew to wear pressure suits because if something were to breach the glass, its not just gonna stop :P

another thought, how advanced are the pressure suits because would wearing something big and bulky make it hard to manipulate the controls, or are we talking something more akin to a scuba suit (rated for decomp obviously  )

more short term skin tight get the hell to another room type stuff...and as noted...camera's, and power for that matter, are not permanent.
