I didn't see a "To be continued..." at the end of Erinys' post. That was just an oversight, right? Right? :D

So does this Deacon wear an eyepatch and drive around in a ship called the Exxon Zuuldez? :D

I love these stories. Not sure how they would translate into book form, but Battletech sure translated well into book form and this universe certainly has room for lots of stories.

Three cheers for the author(s) of these great stories and whoever is behind the overall vision of the SOTS universe.

The Zuul steal the minds and memories of those they enslave - when you're absorbing ideologies from millions upon millions of individuals from different worlds, races, and backgrounds, how long does it take for you to go insane?

I normally don’t read sci-fi stories, but these shorts that you’ve done are just fantastic. It really helps one to imagine what the SOTS universe is like. ^^
Hope to see more :)

I meant to ask this with one of the earlier stories but forgot. What is a grav bed? We monkies have already researched Gravity Control?

I use the term loosely to describe a loading platform which rests on a repulsion field. It looks like a large steel slab of flying carpet, and appears to defy gravity.

I can see the news headlines now

"Drunk dock workers fly grav bed through city town waving scimitars and steal antique oil lamps"
"May Server watch over us, protect us, and guide our smart munitions"

Excellent Story Arinn.

Somehow, I get the feeling the big tarka male is all brawn and no brains.

Sara's brother I mean.
