Suggestions!

The topic says it all. Anybody you'd like us to have on the podcast? Anything you'd like to see more of? Anything. Feedback. Bring it.

The segment I enjoyed most was the "stories about the business of game development" segment. Not sure why, but it seemed the most interesting to me. Dunno what that says about me, if anything. :)
Zed's TARs (sample):
Fractious Allies -- Hiver vs. Hiver, with allies
Who Let The Bugs Out -- Hiver vs. Tarka and Zuul
Tarka Ascendant -- Tarka vs. Hiver and Zuul

Drat. I made a suggestion post in the podcast thread. Sorry if that's the wrong place for it.

In any case, I agree with ZedF. I'd also like to hear what the devs have to say about newly released or upcoming games. It's actually quite rare to hear developers discussing other games apart from 'we like it' or 'we play that in the office'. I guess no one wants to step on other people's toes. But if there is one person who is a great toe-stepper, that would be Mecron :googly: . So I'd like to hear that on the podcast.

Whats with the weird musical stings throughout?

Maybe Im just not familiar with audio only podcasts, but it was a bit distracting for me. :?

I vote for un-restrained swearing. It's more unfiltered.

Perhaps fewer sound-effects? Unless the sound-effects are intended to be placeholder for unique segment dividers?
Feel free to call me App- it's shorter.

So, after listening to 45 minutes of Kerberos talk, here is my feedback.

1) Way too much blather about nothing. Especially since it's supposed to be like a weekly show, right? So how about a 15 - 30 minute standardized format, kinda like you edit and trim down a film?

2) What no announcement of Kaiju-a-gogo release date? We get a HINT as to a new pit character, but no, Oh... hey guys... Kaiju will be released to our beta testers next week (or something to that effect)... Seriously, it's like bread without the butter. Cake without the icing. Christmas without Santa... We needs the Kaiju!! Oh, and the promised bit about fall 2014 Northstar news? Where is the PRECIOUS?

I think 45 minutes could work if they broke it down into sections and kept to time. Still like the idea of spontaneity in the show though.

I'd vote for 15 minutes on what Kerberos are doing, 15 on anything interesting in the game industry and then they can do the what am I watching/playing personally thing. 45 minutes is fine for that. Could be less if the Kerberos section doesn't have much to talk about that wasn't talked about before.

Personally I enjoyed it, some of the inserted audio clips were a bit jarring, but funny in some cases. The raw chatting and conversation was the most enjoyable to me personally.

It's a fun little info-dump and informal conversation piece.

I don't see a lot of marching and saluting the time stamp going on as that is about as welcome to conversation as enemas at a swim meet...and we will definitely keep talking about the games we play that we like but I don't see a lot of ragging in general going on...not that interested in joining the witty negative game review crowd that are all the rage these days.

The big problem with a hard timing structure is that it makes more post-work and editing, and the idea is that this isn't supposed to take up huge amounts of time beyond the talking itself to put out.

I think things will tighten up naturally as we do more and more episodes, without having to artificially seek it.
