Wolf Eyes

Post by fibio » Thu Nov 05, 2009 9:44 pm

One thing I've noticed, and it's been bugging me, is that Riply, sorry Riley, has got yellow eyes. As he doesn't seem to be the only character experiencing it I was wondering what the significance was, other than liver failure.

Don't you remember the Goons identified Arinn as a furry. Obviously that is the explanation behind the eyes. :)

 Though the fact it makes people look inhuman probably isn't a coincidence.

With goons, you just need to think of them like Red Menace era Macarthyites, only instead of seeing communism everywhere, it's yiffing. And it's goddamn hilarious to watch, if a little sad at times.

Still those are some pretty yellow eyes. Then again, Mr Riley doesn't look to be the healthiest of dudes in general. Unlike the other survivors, he looks like he's been dragged backwards through a wheat thresher and lived to tell the tale. And he STILL has that smushed up cigarette in his mouth - possibly glued there.

I guess being the John Connor of the post-zombiepocalyptic world does strange things to you.

That's another good question, where does he get that cigarette, maybe he's got a bit of zombie in him and its a rot one.

Given the state that it's in, it's probably one he started just about when the world ended, and its been there ever since.

simple answer is he's got some of the rot in him. like the cowgirl in the preview vid. the eternal smoke is simply a firesafe cigarette that went out. he simply doesn't have a lighter on him.

And presumably the yellow eyes are a result of the nicotine build up over that time ...

No backstory reason for the amber eyes of Ben Riley. If the man is a werewolf, we respect his privacy. ;)

The Seer's eyes are not cataracts or Rot--that is actually the supernatural glow of her uncanny Sight. Her eyes have literally become two wells of light.

So it is the purest form of the anti-rot? It would be cool to see a werewolf fight the zombie hordes.

I disagree. I think such a fight would simply be lots of chaotic rending and drooling, punctuated by frequent powerful leaps to avoid being dogpiled. Or, perhaps, not enough punctuating.....

I disagree... with the...uh, disagreeing...

Werewolf vs. zombie hordes would be freakin' awesome, specially if the werewolf still maintains a grip around reality in wolf-form. 8)
- a tactically minded werewolf, who might even be able to operate guns and traps, while tearing though the ranks of the undead with blinding speed, in cooperation with human allies

...but having superior power at your side would take some of the point away from zombie-apocalypses... you are not supposed to have the upper hand, at least not in terms of direct combat-prowess :|

So werewolves are a no-no... :(

(how about vampires then, can we have some of those..? Image)

hehehe :P

Personally, I would feel sorry for the werewolf.

Zombies are not a foe that is much improved by heightened senses. Especially the sense of taste. :P
