Thanks for pointing this out silvaril!

I checked it out last night and it was very fun, for a light space strat game.

I did hit a 'bug' where after I killed off a player the other player in the game got some infinite popup saying they were removed from the game.

So, I dunno, still fun though!

I tried it yesterday and one small test game became a three.

It's a nice little game. :)

It was cute for a free title... but I'm liking SPAZ (space pirates and zombies) better at the moment as my light fare to hold me over until august... lol

I also think it is an excellent example of just how high the bar has risen over the past decade. You see a lot of people, even some on this board, saying "I just want a new version of MOO!". Well folks, this is it. It is an excellent example of rewriting moo code wise while leaving gameplay relatively identicle. And here you go. Its for free and its a fun novelty. Times have changed :thumbsup:

Just played through my first round of it. My opponent's Homeworld was right next to mine. Poured fighters onto him and never gave him a chance to build anything, and grabbed two additional colonies with nothing but bomber production. Shortest space fight ever ;)

IIRC it doesn't have ship design and tactical combat, which is pretty much a requirement for a MOO-alike in my books. But if I wanted to play a faithful MOO-alike at MOO's level of detail, I would be wanting to play it on my I-phone, not on my desktop. Standards have indeed changed. :)
