Retargeting escort BR

When I launch the escort BR's they follow the ship they came from fine but if I highlight them and give any type of order they stop moving. How do I get them to follow a ship again?

Have you tried selecting them and then ALT-Left clicking on your own ships? That should make the Escort BR target whatever ship you click on ship.

I believe your supposed to just right click on your target for escort and the ships are supposed to move to and start circling it. It has been awhile since I tried this so not at 100% confidence level can anyone else confirm?

That sounds closer to right to me. Using ALT-left click might cause the Escort BR's to shoot at your own ships.

Looking into the issue as well as having them re target more sensibly.
Currently you need to select the escort riders and Alt+click the friendly target to get them to protect it. They will not fire on friendlies.
