Anyone excited for this? I’m hyped. Interesting that it’s just Lana though. Also I love N Patrick Harris ever since I saw him in Starship Troopers.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

It is pretty cool though that Carrie-Ann Moss is still the female lead in this kind of movie. Just 15-20 years ago Hollywood would have flipped out and replaced her with someone younger (regardless of what the director wanted).

Also cautiously optimistic. Keanu's been in some neat things lately, and it's good to see Moss returning, hard agree on that. Anyione trying to replace her might well have run in to some hard nos from both Reeves and the director. I feel like neither of them would put up with that kind of nonsense.

Also hello again everyone it's been a while. God has permitted me to survive and I will be making it everyone's problem.

I dunno...the first movie was golden...but the two sequels just were not that great...I'm going to wait and see.

I love this opinion because imo the “first two” are good (not three). But i guess ppl blame the second for the crimes of the third….

No I stand by my opinion. The Matrix was a film that really should not have had any sequels. I kind of think of it like Highlander...Connor was the last immortal...and he wrapped up all the loose ends by the end of the movie. The sequels did nothing to move the franchise in any meaningful direction...and each one only got worse.

For the Matrix, Neo achieves his end goal...he becomes the One and now can manipulate the code of the Matrix at will. Where is there left for him to go?

All the kung-fu fights of the second were essentially meaningless. He was using kung-fu as a way to visualize the fights with the agents...but he transcended that...he didn't need it anymore. The film was perfect by itself. All subsequent sequels just made it less and less meaningful.
If you want a different perspective, stand on your head.

I tend to agree that the first movie was self contained but I also make room for people to say more of what they want to say. Even when they shouldn't. Also I can often do without this snotty mass mind culture of the internet. Want an example? Bring up aflecks Daredevil and listen to the internet kids froth at the mouth about how its the worst superhero movie ever made. Wait 30 seconds and then ask... "Why?"

other than "well afleck sucks!", the silence is deafening

I cannot imagine downvoting the whole movie when you have this type of action
